As a Farm Sales Agent, you will quote, present, and sell insurance beneficial to farming operations. You will play an essential role in the Summit Ag team.
Job Duties:
- Attain a Property & Casualty Insurance Producer’s license - This person will study and pass the test within the first 2-4 weeks of employment. All expenses related to earning your license will be covered by Summit Ag.
- Quote and issue new agribusiness and farm policies
- Utilize several quoting systems to determine policies with the best value for the clients
- Prospect your own leads as well as work with inner office leads
- Conduct Client Policy Reviews with current clients to discuss changes to their policies or possible better options for the upcoming renewal
- Seek out pain points and provide recommendations for areas of improvement in coverage
- Perform assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a professional company image and outstanding customer service
Job Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Some experience with sales and service of Personal and Commercial lines of insurance
- Basic knowledge of agricultural/farming is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Must have general knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a large team
- Have a great attitude and be a life-time learner!
